The fat Min Pin post

  • While I was reading your blog, I had a few ideas why your dog was not losing weight and was going to comment on it. But I have nothing to say now. I too have a Chihuahua that is shaped like a football. You might want to read my blogs, “FAT DOG” and “DOGGY DNA”. Those are two reasons why my Sissy is fat. She has lost weight and looks pretty good now, but she is still shaped likea football. I think it has to do with her DNA (I think there may have been another doggy in the woodpile somewhere)! :)

  • Believe it or not, when Sparky first came into our family (he was 2 years old) he was fit. For 2 years he was in shape until that episode with the french bread – a whole fresh baked loaf straight from the bakery. I personally think that he stretched his stomach to the point he nevers feels full anymore.

  • My nephew adopted a mini pin from a rescue service. She can’t get enough to eat and is always begging.

She did gain weight under my care because we have so many animals being fed all the time. But, my nephew has gotten her slimmed down to a reasonable size. As an only dog, Eve does fine. But, she is so aggressive, when there are other animals she manages to steal their food.
